News

Abstract

The zRule Execution Server has been updated to include two new messages that are displayed when rule executions fail.

Content

This enhancement allows monitoring tools to identify when a potentially serious problem has occurred in the zRule Execution Server.

You can disable these new messages by adding HBRTRACEVERSION=1 to a member in the HBRENVPR DD statement concatenation of the zRule Execution Server.

The two new messages:

  • GBRZJ0031W Exception executing ruleset {0}.
Explanation: The zRule Execution Server for z/OS caught an exception whilst executing the ruleset. The exception is a known exception and rule execution will continue.
  • GBRZJ0032E Unexpected exception executing ruleset {0}.
Explanation: The zRule Execution Server for z/OS caught an unexpected exception whilst executing the ruleset. The exception was an unknown exception and rule execution may not continue, action is required to verify the health of the zRule Execution Server and possibly restart it.
