Abstract

This document contains a brief description of the new and updated features in the IBM HACP Extended Edition v1.6 release.

HACP Extended Edition v1.6 is available with additional features of ‘Auto-Start Macro, and ‘End-to-end security’. Here is a quick list of all the new features.

  • Auto-Start Macro
  • Support for End-to-End Security

Auto-Start Macro

The specified macro is automatically played when a HACP EE user starts a session or connection to HOST established and user is presented with last screen of the connection once macro ends. If the macro name provided does not exist, a warning message is displayed.

Auto-Start Macro property is available under the session property window.

For an HTML-based model, this property is read-only but for a config-based model this property is editable if an admin has unlocked it while configuring the session.

The below warning message is displayed if macro does not exist after connecting to HOST.

Support for End-to-end Security

With HACP Extended Edition 1.6, we now support end to end security scenario, which covers secure settings of IBM WebSphere Application Server as well as the web server that you need to see. Please refer to the following document to get more information on how to setup end to end security.
