ATTENTION:

This code release contains critical fixes. All customers are strongly advised to read the accompanying Release Note to determine whether they are currently exposed to any issues that are fixed in this release.

Storwize V7000 Unified is shipped with a USB key which is pre-installed with the Storwize V7000 Unified Initialization Tool. If the USB key is misplaced, this tool can be downloaded from the link below and copied onto the root directory of any USB key formatted with a FAT32, ext2 or ext3 filesystem.

Important Upgrade Information

Please ensure you have read the release note and are familiar with the following Flash Announcements before upgrading:

You should ensure that the system event log does not contain any unfixed errors prior to performing a software upgrade, since these events may prevent a successful upgrade.
You must run the Software Upgrade Test Utility before starting any upgrade. There must be a successful run of the utility within two hours of starting with the upgrade. You can run the utility multiple times.
