Problem

Unable to seed the product support during Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server (TEMS) configuration and receiving the following error
Do you want to seed product support on the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server? [ 1=Yes, 2=No ; default is "1" ] ?

Symptom

I found the following error in $candlehome/logs/itm_install_trc log:

Resolving The Problem

The TEMS uses the kdstsns tool to seed the product support. The error code RC=155  indicates that the tool is unable to contact the HUB TEMS  to seed the product support so the tool times out.
The primary reason for this,  the hostname associated with the TEMS and the resolved ip address of the host are completely different. To fix the error, please verify the hostname and the ip address of the TEMS server on /etc/hosts file.
