Problem
Trying to amend multiple entries in Maximo Inventory for Reconcile Balance and Physical counts errors.
Symptom
Selecting multiple rows from the List Tab in Inventory does not follow the action.
Go to Inventory -> Inventory Adjustments
1. Reconcile Balance errors with :
BMXAA5741E - Reconcile balances could not be performed
2. Physical Count
Selects the first entry only
Cause
The functionality is designed to be used for one item at a time. Either by going into the inventory item or by selecting one.
Environment
This currently applies thourghout Maximo version:
IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.0.8 IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.0.9 IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.0
Diagnosing The Problem
Accessing the records in Inventory Application list tab for multiple actions in Inventory Adjustments. This consequently errors or actions one record only.
Resolving The Problem
Maximo in its current design does not support inventory balance adjustments and reconcile balances actions from the list tab ( when there are multiple rows in the View list with different statuses).
The changes can be made by individually going into the item, or selecting one item from the list tab. The there is no error and it succeeds.
