MaaS360 for Android Core
Support for Chrome OS (Chromebook) device management >>
MaaS360 announces a partnership with Google to manage Chrome OS devices alongside other endpoints in an enterprise from a single unified management solution. With this support, administrators can easily enroll Chromebooks into MaaS360 portal via Google admin console. MaaS360 also leverages Google APIs to allow the administrators to enforce security policies on Chrome OS devices.
Support for seamless enrollment >>
MaaS360 adds support for seamless enrollment, allowing the users to enroll a device without entering the passcode.
Trusteer Threat Management enhancements >>
MaaS360 adds support for enforcing the Trusteer Threat Management policies through Persona policies for mixed mode (MDM+SPS) customers.
Reduced number of clicks in the app installation flow >>
MaaS360 removes the unnecessary screens in app installation flow, allowing the users to seamlessly install apps with fewer clicks.
Support for dual sim reporting >>
If a dual-SIM card device is enrolled, the MaaS360 agent now reports network information pertaining to both the SIMs to MaaS360 portal.
Device security status report >>
Trusteer Threat Management performs periodic scans on mobile devices to identify and report mobile security threats such as Device threats, app threats, and network threats. MaaS360 adds a new option to view the security status report of the device in MaaS360 agent.
Approve app permissions before initializing device enrollment >>
MaaS360 adds support for requesting app permissions before initializing device enrollment. This feature ensures that MaaS360 has all the permissions (Storage, Location, Phone, and Usage Access) before registering a device on the MaaS360 portal. Note: Contact MaaS360 support team to enable this feature for your account.
Enable automatic launch of Kiosk mode >>
MaaS360 adds support for the automatic launch of Kiosk mode on the device without any user interaction. This setting is applicable only to LG, Zebra devices. To enable the automatic launch of Kiosk mode, Navigate to MaaS360 Policies > MDM policy > Advanced Settings > Kiosk Mode Restrictions > Enable Automatic Launch of Kiosk Mode. Note: This setting will disallow disabling Power key on the device and requires MaaS360 app version 6.10+. If Block Task Manager is set, then Overlay Permission is prompted.
Support for playing audio and video files on receiver >>
MaaS360 adds an option to allow users to play audio and video files either on device speaker or on the receiver. Previously, MaaS360 supported playing audio/video files on device speaker, and receiver only if that receiver is connected to the devices such as headphones.
Support for peripheral device reporting >>
MaaS360 adds support for reporting Bluetooth-enabled peripheral devices that are connected to an enrolled device. With this support, administrators can easily track all the peripheral devices connected to a device and the connection status from the Device View.
Support for What's New screen to display latest updates >>
MaaS360 adds a new What's New screen to allow users to view the latest changelogs and permissions pertaining to MaaS360 core app and Secure Mail app.
MaaS360 for Android PIM
Single Sign-On access for Office 365 mail, SharePoint, and OneDrive using ADAL >>
MaaS360 adds Single Sign-On (SSO) access for Office 365 mail, SharePoint (external), RMS documents, and OneDrive against Azure Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, and IBM CIO SSO configurations. With this feature, administrators can configure apps that participate in SSO through MaaS360 policies.
Support for easily adding multiple email and calendar recipients on compose screen >>
MaaS360 introduces a new approach to seamlessly search and add multiple email/calendar recipients to compose screen. Previously, users had to manually type the contact names and select from suggested contacts.
Additional reminder options for Calendar events >>
MaaS360 adds a new set of reminder times for MaaS360 Calendar. Users can also modify the existing meetings and appointments to apply new reminders.
Sort contacts by company name >>
MaaS360 introduces an option to sort contacts by their company names. Previously, the contacts were only sorted by their first and last names.
Auto-BCC outgoing emails to self >>
MaaS360 adds an option to allow the users to automatically send a Bcc (blind carbon copy) of outgoing emails to themselves. This feature is available for both primary and secondary accounts.
Support for advanced notifications with Android app notification channels >>
With Android O, MaaS360 redesigns the notification settings for all apps. Effective 6.10, MaaS360 redirects users to default Android app notification screen to configure notifications where users can configure notifications for each category (channel). Previously, in versions below Android O, MaaS360 supported in-built notification settings.
Support for creating multiple secondary accounts from single template >>
MaaS360 allows users to create multiple secondary email accounts from single generic secondary email account template. Previously, administrators had to create and enforce email templates for each email account. Note: If the secondary email template is deleted in the MaaS360 portal, the corresponding secondary email accounts configured in MaaS360 agent will be also deleted.
Support for auto-renewal of certificates for secondary accounts >>
MaaS360 adds support for automatic certificate request and renewal for secondary accounts. With this support, the MaaS360 agent sends certificate requests to the MaaS360 portal and renew the certificates in the background. Previously, the secondary accounts had to be re-configured on certificate expiration.
Support for auto-refresh of AD-based logon hours >>
MaaS360 adds support for auto-refresh of AD-based logon hours once in every 24 hours. In the previous releases, users had to manually refresh the logon hours.
Support for draft folder synchronization >>
If an email draft is saved in Outlook, users can now open, edit, and send that message via MaaS360 Secure Mail and vice versa. MaaS360 supports two-way synchronization of email drafts between MaaS360 Secure Mail and Outlook (or any other mail client that supports draft sync). Note: Draft sync support is only supported on servers that support EAS (Exchange Activesync) protocol version 16.
Secure Browser
New web-session inactivity timeout action >>
In previous releases, MaaS360 introduced a policy to redirect users to the home page if the browser is idle for a specified time. In this release, MaaS360 introduces a new option for administrators to delete browser history and cookies when the users are redirected to the home page after the web-session inactivity timeout.
Android Enterprise
Support for dim screen restriction for Android Enterprise and COSU devices >>
MaaS360 extends support for dim screen restriction to Android Enterprise policies. With this support, administrators can restrict screen time-out on the devices. To enable this policy, navigate to Policies > MDM Policy > Android Enterprise Settings > Restrictions > Disable DIM Screen.
Support for deploying multiple VPNs via MaaS360 portal >>
MaaS360 allows administrators to deploy multiple VPNs (Cisco AnyConnect, Pulse Secure, etc) and multiple profiles of the same VPN to managed devices. When the policies reach the device, users can view the list of VPNs pending for configuration in the MaaS360 app > Settings > Corporate Settings > Configure VPN Profiles.
OEMs
SD Card Encryption policy support for Zebra devices >>
MaaS360 extends the SD Card Encryption policy support to Zebra devices. With this support, administrators can enforce SD card encryption on Zebra devices through MDM policies.
