The MaaS360 for iOS app version 3.5 includes the following applications:
- MaaS360 core app
- MaaS360 Secure Mail
- MaaS360 Contacts
MaaS360 for iOS (core app) Enhancements
Support for restricting the screen recording >>
MaaS360 leverages existing MaaS360 policies to allow the administrators to enforce a restriction on screen recording of the MaaS360 app. When the policies are applied, a splash screen is displayed when the screen is recorded.
MaaS360 Secure Mail
Support for restricting logon hours to company working hours >>
The logon hours determine when the emails are synced from the email servers. In this release, MaaS360 introduced new policies to allow the administrators to restrict the logon hours to the company working hours. MaaS360 also disconnects sync and denies authentication to email server outside of the logon hours. Note: This feature is only applicable to the primary account.
Certificate renewal for secondary accounts >>
MaaS360 extends automatic certificate renewal capability to secondary accounts. MaaS360 also made UI enhancements to view the certificate download status on the device. In the previous releases, MaaS360 supported cert renewal only for primary accounts.
Respond to an email with a meeting request >>
MaaS360 allows users to easily create a meeting request as a response to an email. When the meeting request is created, the subject of the email is mapped to the subject of the meeting request, everyone in the To field and CC of the original email message is mapped to meeting invitees, email body is mapped to meeting Notes, and default meeting start time is adjusted to the following hour. Note: The feature is applicable for primary, secondary, and delegate accounts.
Customized notifications for high priority emails >>
MaaS360 allows users to create customized local notifications for high priority incoming emails. With this support, users can easily track high priority emails as they arrive.
Note: Administrators must enable local notifications via policies. Also, if users receive a high priority email that matches the subject line criteria, the subject line notification takes precedence.
Customized notifications based on the email subject >>
MaaS360 adds support for creating a customized local email notification rule based on the strings in the subject line. This feature allows the users easily identify the severity of the email based on the notification; as a result, important emails can be attended immediately without a delay. You can also create a rule without an audio alert to ignore unimportant emails.
Note: Administrators must enable local notifications via policies. Also, if users receive a high priority email that matches the subject line criteria, the subject line notification takes precedence.
Draft folder synchronization >>
If an email draft is saved in Outlook, users can now open, edit, and send that message via MaaS360 Secure Mail and vice versa. MaaS360 supports two-way synchronization of email drafts between MaaS360 Secure Mail and Outlook (or any other mail client that supports draft sync). Note: Draft sync support is only supported on servers that support EAS (Exchange Activesync) protocol version 16.
Image picker refactorization >>
MaaS360 refactors the codebase to fix issues related to image compression and improve the way the images and videos are uploaded to Secure Mail and Docs.
MaaS360 Contacts
Support for three new default phone number fields >>
MaaS360 adds support for three new phone number fields: Company, Car, and Radio for Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 accounts. With this support, the Outlook contacts that contain these fields can be successfully synced to MaaS360 Contacts. Previously, few contacts were not imported as MaaS360 did not support these fields. This feature is applicable to primary, secondary, and delegate accounts.
