Error description

  • The CM 8.4. FP1 installation fails with the folowing error
message

wizard has detected that one or more IBM DB2 Content Manager
products installed on this system do not have the product
components registered in the vpd.properties file.

if the current installation mode is using "terminal service" at
remote desktop.

Problem summary

  • Installer can't change into "install mode" automatically.

Problem conclusion

  • CM installer requires the "install mode" when using "terminal
services". The customer may change it
manually. If not, the installer can change it automatically.
