Problem
MustGather documents aid in problem determination and save time resolving Problem Management Records (PMRs). Specifically, IBM Security Directory Server (formerly Tivoli Directory Server) problems related to a hang or core issue with the LDAP server.
Resolving The Problem
MustGather for Hang / Core condition issues; information based on IBM Security Directory Server version.
For all versions of Directory Server the basic items needed by Support to begin diagnosing any Hang or Core condition are as follows:
- A clear problem description.
- A thread dumps from a core file or if this is a "hang" condition, we will need to collect two thread dumps taken a few minutes apart.
- ITDS version and OS information.
- Is it a consistent or intermittent "hang" or "crash"?
- Is it a reproducible problem?
If yes, provide then steps or scripts to re-create the problem.
