Error description

  • DTMF grammars fail to compile when using Nuance, specifically
when wvr.dtmf.useexternaldetection is set to true.

Local fix

  • Set the type attribute in the VXML grammar tag.
Append ,sendexternalgrammar=no to InitSessionString entry for
the recognizer in default.cff.

Problem summary

  • content-type not added to DTMF-grammar MRCP messages to Nuance
causing them to fail
