PM01396: PUBLISHING/EDITING RULES SHOULD NOT AFFECT ENTRIES IN THE WCM RESOURCE CACHE

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Publishing/editing rules should not affect entries in the WCM
resource collection cache when it is configured as a separate
    instance.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • Customer was experiencing spikes in cpu utilization after
    publishing rules.

Problem conclusion

  • Found that the Publish commit process was using the general for
of the cache invalidate. This cleared all cache including WCM
node definitions. Modified code to specify pzn component cache
defined elements. This will allow the customer to separate
cache maps and not affect WCM components that have been cached
    by PZN.

Temporary fix
