• The WCM rendering portlets need a means to modify the portlet
  fragment cache behavior via preferences and overide the fragment
  cache settings specified in the portlet.xml or portlet
  definition.

Problem summary

• The WCM rendering portlets need a means to modify the portlet
  fragment cache behavior via preferences and overide the fragment
  cache settings specified in the portlet.xml or portlet
  definition.
  

Problem conclusion

• This fix provides an override which allows WCM portlets to set
  cache properties on a per instance basis.
  For this purpose new preference attributes were added.
