APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In V5 when viewing pages in the page tree, the manage pages
  portlet showed the page's position in the tree regardless of how
  one navigated to that page. In V6 the step trail shows how the
  user navigated to the page and not it's position in the tree.
  This makes it difficult to determine which page is being worked
  on when many pages share the same page title.
  
  Steps to recreate:
  1. Create a page heirarchy
  2. In the Manage Pages portlet search on a page title
  3. Select that page in the search results.
  4. On V5 you will see the step trail shows the page's position
  in the tree. On V6 you will see how the user navigated to the
  page.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The portlet was redesigned to add a new configuration parameter,
  showhierarchyinsteptrail. When this parameter has a value of tru
  step trail will show the selected page's position in the  portal
  hierarchy. When false, the path that was navigated to get to thi
  via the search will be shown.
