PK70072: THE WCM PUBLIC API METHOD CONTENTSEARCH() DOES NOT SEARCH FOR CONTENT IN ANCESTORS AND DESCENDANTS OF SITEAREAS

 

APAR status

Error description

  • The javadoc for this method states that "If site areas have been
    specified, all ancestor and descendant  site areas are also
    included in the search." But it does not search ancestor or
    descendant siteareas. Customers migrating from 5.1 noticed this
    bug in the 6.x API

    In 5.x the content search api method searched ancestors and
    descendant site areas and categories but in 6.x the behaviour
    changed so that it no longer searched ancestors and descendants
