Error description

  • [Problem details]
    During the takeover(two DB servers are not up. WP
    can not connect to
    the repository DB), a user accesses a target
    page.
    If the placed portlet on the target page is the following
    condition,
    the placed portlet is not displayed.
    - which is not
    rendered/displayed after the portal restart

Problem summary

  • During the Database takeover, two DB servers are not up.WP can
    not connect to the repository DB, a user accesses a target page
    on which a portlet is located and the placed portlet is not
    displayed.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Before the fix DB connection exceptions are caught and lead to a
    not expected rendering. No error message/screen is displayed.
    With the fix exceptions thrown from the Database were passed up
    to the user interface, to make it visible to the user
