APAR status

Error description

  • After a session timeout occurred, there can be the case that the
    portlet action of one URL might not be executed.
    Instead of executing the portlet action, only the rendering
    method of the portlet is executed.
    

Local fix

  • At the point of time when the session timeout occurs, the Action
    ID counter is reset, but the previously executed URL is saved
    with an action ID that was computed before the reset took place.
    Without the fix, the case can occur that this action ID is
    assigned with an action URL, again. Then, this URL would not
    execute the portlet action correctly, because the system detects
    that the action with this ID has already executed. The fix
    ensures that the action ID is not reset to a static value, but
    reset to a random initial value, so that it is almost impossible
    that duplicate action IDs are ever used.
