Error description

  • If the username and password of the User Registry are correctly
    configured, enabling security may still fail in
    wp_SecurityConfigLDAP.jacl by reporting:
    [wsadmin] ERROR: activeUserRegistry UserId/Password = ''.
    

Local fix

  • Disable pre-validation process in wp_SecurityConfigProcs.jacl.
    

Problem summary

  • If the username and password of the User Registry are correctly
    configured, enabling security may still fail in
    wp_SecurityConfigLDAP.jacl by reporting:
    [wsadmin] ERROR: activeUserRegistry UserId/Password = ''.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Disabling the failing validation allows to enable security.
