PK44463: DEADLOCKS IN THE JCR DURING WCM AUTHORING LONG RUN

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • WCM authoring long runs with approximately 100-120 concurrent
users performing saves could deadlock in the JCR.  This
problem happens regardless of the database being used however
in our testing we've found this is more prevalant in the
Microsoft SQL Server database

Problem summary


    

  • Under high load deadlocks could be encountered
in the JCR database causing the end user action to fail.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The JCR has updated its locking mechnism
to order events and locking in the same order for all operations
fixing the deadlocks being encountered
