APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Problem is as follows, ITM 6.1 uses DM 3.7 classes to send TEC
  events.
  In DM 3.7 the ruleset sentry.rls is included and used. It
  contains the following line which is executed for all events of
  the DM 3.7 class:
  .
  set_event_message(_event, '%s (%s) = %s %s', [_monitor,
  _probe_arg, _value, _units])
  .
  The values for _monitor, _probe_arg, _value and _units are taken
  from the homonymous slots. These slots are set if DM 3.7 sends a
  event, but are not set if ITM 6.1 sends a TEC event. Here the
  msg slot is already set correctly. After this it gets changed to
  " () =" which is not quite helpful. The problem is for DM 3.7
  you have to use this ruleset to get a proper msg slot.
  So ITM 6.1 either fill these slots or should use it's own
  classes.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When DM 3.7 events were sent to TEC via ITM 6.1, the msg slot in
  the event gets set to " () =".
  

Problem conclusion

• Change the sentry.rls file to check for a source of ITM
  before changing the msg slot.
