IBM Support

RC=16 when running batch job using PDS that does not exist

Troubleshooting

Problem

In IBM WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer, you can use batch job DMHJCLBU to add work to the analysis queue followed by batch job DMHJCLQU to execute the postprocessing. If you inadvertently input the wrong name for a PDS in DMHJCLQU, postprocessing will result in a RC=16.

Symptom

DMH610-I: PDS container scan on CDSNWPLX.IFI.SOURCE
DMH610-E: Cound not execute container scan
DMH610-I: Return code 16

Postprocessing fails to continue.

Cause

Incorrectly typing in the file name for a PDS in the DMHJCLQU batch job.

Resolving The Problem

Correct the JCL and delete the WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer container with the wrong name.
