About fix pack and prerequisites |
This fix pack is a cumulative maintenance package for a specific combination of product and platform. It is a single package that bundles a number of fixes.
The V7.0.0.0 Fix Pack 2 is intended to be used on IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced installations.
By installing the V7.0.0.0 Fix Pack 2, you will raise the fix level of your product to V7.0.0.2.

Fix pack prerequisites
To use this fix pack, you must have one of the following versions of IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced installed:
- 7.0.0.0
- 7.0.0.1
Hardware and software prerequisites for IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced are available on the Web on its Hardware and Software Support pages.
Ensure that the required disk space is available prior to installing the fix pack. See the Space requirements section for details.

Space requirements vary depending on your platform. The size of each download is available on the product download pages, IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced.

Steps for installing V7.0.0.0 Fix Pack 2 (7.0.0.2)
There are two ways that you can install IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced V7.0.0.0 fix pack 2
- Download the required files to a local repository and use the IBM Installation Manager Update Packages wizard to install the files from the repository.
- Use the IBM Installation Manager Update Packages wizard to download and install the required files automatically from an IBM download site.
To install the fix pack from a local repository:
- Download the 7.0.0.0-WB-ModelerAdv-MultiOS-FP0000002.zip file.
- Extract the downloaded ZIP file into a temporary directory.
- Go to Start > All Programs > IBM Installation Manager > IBM Installation Manager. IBM Installation Manager opens.
- On the menu bar, go to File > Preferences.
- In the navigation pane, click Repositories.
- In the Repositories pane, click Add Repository.
- Click the Browse button and navigate to the directory where you have downloaded and extracted the fix pack files.
- Select repository.config.
- Click Open.
- In the Add Repository window, click OK. The Add Repository window closes.
- In the Preferences window, click OK.
- Follow the instructions below to apply the fix pack to your IBM WebSphere Business Modeler package.
To complete the installation of the fix pack or install from an IBM download site
- Go to Start > All Programs > IBM Installation Manager > IBM Installation Manager. IBM Installation Manager opens.
- Click Update. The Update Packages wizard starts.
- Select the IBM WebSphere Business Modeler package.
- Click Next. Installation Manager searches for updates in its repositories and the predefined update sites for WebSphere Business Modeler. If you do not have the files for the fix pack in a local repository, Installation Manager will download the required files.
- In the Updates window, select Version 7.0.0.2.
- Click Next. The License window opens, displaying the list of licenses for the updates you selected.
- Click each item to review the license agreement text.
- If you agree to the terms of the license agreements, select the I accept the terms of the license agreements radio button.
- Click Next. The Update Packages window opens.
- Select the components that you want to update.
- Click Next. The summary window opens.
- Click Update. Installation Manager installs the fix pack. After the installation finishes, the Update Packages window refreshes, displaying the list of installed packages and the following message: “Success! The packages were updated.”
- Click Finish. The Update Packages wizard closes. You have successfully installed the fix pack.
- Close IBM Installation Manager.
The fix pack is now installed.
Note: Before using IBM WebSphere Business Modeler in a language other than English, you must first install the language you want to use. The fixes for IBM WebSphere Business Modeler 7.0.0.0 include the national language support files that are required for installing additional languages. If you are already using IBM WebSphere Business Modeler 7.0.0.0, you can run the Modify Packages wizard to install additional languages either before or after applying any fixes. |
Fix pack install verification :
Run Modeler and navigate to Help > About. Inspect the value of the Build id, it should be set to 7.0.0.2-20100426_1245.
