Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The JMS pre/postInvoke handler is not   *
    *                      driven by the application manager       *
    *                      during application stop                 *

    The WAS JMS framework includes preInvoke and postInvoke
    methods that are intended to be driven before and after
    application stop.  In some cases, the WAS application manager
    MBean does not cause these methods to be executed, which can
    result in erros in the JMS layer.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Explicit calls to the preInvoke and postInvoke methods were
    added to the MBean to ensure that the methods were called as
    necessary.
    
    APAR PM81798 is currently targeted for inclusion in
    Service Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.31, 8.0.0.7, and 8.5.5.1 of
    WebSphere Application Server.
