Error description

  • After migrating to v7, customer noticed warning messages at
    startup:

    Trace: 2012/02/16 21:43:00.874 01 t=8FF138 c=UNK key=S2
    (13007002)
    ThreadId: 00000000
    FunctionName:
    com.ibm.ws.tcp.channel.impl.TCPChannelConfiguration
    SourceId: com.ibm.ws.tcp.channel.impl.TCPChannelConfiguration
    Category:
    WARNING
    ExtendedMessage: TCPC0813W: TCP Channel
    TCPInboundChannel_ipcc.Default_IPC_Conector_Name has been
    constructed
with incorrect configuration property, Property Name: alias
    Value:
    danode51/RACFJSSESettings

The sslConfig property should only have been copied into the new
v7 server.xml for the SOAP connector, not the IPC connector.

Local fix

  • The sslConfig property that was included with the IPC connector
in the server.xml is extraneous, but does not cause any harm in
regards to function or integrity of the server. The warning
    messages can be ignored.

Alternatively, the user may manually remove the sslConfig
property from the IPC connector definition in the server.xml,
which will make the messages go away altogether.

    * Startup log an IPC TCPInboundChannel *
    * Connector exception is being thrown. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The sslConfig was erroneously copied from the SOAP connector
to the IPC connector which is new in v70. This message is
harmless. Only the SOAP connector should have this sslConfig
defined. It was erroneously copied to the IPC connector during
    migration.

Problem conclusion

  • The code which copies the sslConfig from the SOAP connector to
the the IPC connector has been removed.

APAR PM63764 is currently targeted for inclusion in
WebSphere Application Server Fix Packs 7.0.0.25.
