A Local Communication connection (bboclcon.cpp), established
between the Node Agent and a Server, remained in a loop
consuming excessive amounts of CPU.  The looping routine was
resetDataAvailable (bboclsqm).  The reason for the excessive
loop was an incorrect check of the condition code following a
CDS (compare and double swap) instruction.  This erroneous
check allows the loop to continue until another bit in the
target doubleword is updated.  The excessive loop is more
prevalent in a single GPP (General Purpose Processor)
configuration.

Problem conclusion

Code has been modified to correctly examine the Condition Code
in the CDS loop.

APAR PM47339 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.21 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0
and Fix Pack 8.0.0.2 of WebSphere Application Server V8.0.
