  • When using Web services thin client, customer may see
    the following exception occurs:

    When using a Web services thin client to invoke a service,
    NullPointerException may occur.  This happens when initial
    context for performing naming operations is not constructed
    successfully.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Web services runtime has been corrected to avoid the
    NullPointerException in this situation.
    
    APAR PM20082 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
    Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.33 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1.
