Error description

  • For some applications the customer may xperience
some problems during deployment, because some resources
cannot be correctly mapped to the JNDI names.
When you check the DB2 resource references by using the
drop down box to map to the jdbc resources, the page is
    refreshed without applying the modification.
Therefore causing an issue with setting
    "Set multiple JNDI names".

Local fix

  • There are 2 ways of entering the JNDI name that DO work:
    .
    1. Instead of using the pulldown from 'Mapping multiple
resources", selects the 'Browse' button, which
then pulls up a list of JNDI names.
If you select it from that list, it will keep the
        JNDI name in the field.
    .
    2. The other way is to manually type the JNDI name
into the field instead of having it copied there.
Then select it from the "Mapping multiple resources"
        list.
    .
So you can either select it via the 'Browse" function or
type it in manually to have this work.
The only way it fails is when you select the
JNDI name from the pulldown list under
    "Mapping multiple resources".
    .

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The multiple jndi selection does not *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The console code did not correctly calculate which multiple
jndi selection was chosen by the user so was unable to set the
values that the user had selected.

Problem conclusion

  • Rewrote the code that determined which selection button was
    chosen.
