Error description

  • After the installation of 6.1.0.23 (PK81286) the code changed to
check all version.properties files available via the class
loader looking for the "correct" one (properties.version.propert
ies) to keep all AppManagement operations from failing with an
exception. It also inadvertently issues message ADMA0097I for
any version.properties files that it finds that don't contain
the key it's looking for. In this case:
    /usr/lpp/zWebSphere/V6R1M025/java/J5.0/lib/ext/healthcenter.jar!
    /version

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
Application Management operations can be restricted and if an
operation is restricted the message "ADMA0097I APPLICATION
MANAGEMENT IS BEING INITIALIZED WITHOUT A FULL PRODUCT
INSTALLATION" will be emitted. But in some scenarios, though
the Application Management operations are permitted it was
    emitting the ADMA0097I message falsely.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix will emit the message ADMA0097I only if the operation
    is restricted.

APAR PM15753 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.11 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
