    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The time stamp in the sync result *
    *                      message is ambiguous.                   *
    *                                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The time stamp in the sync result message uses a 12 hour clock
    format without the AM/PM designation and is thus ambiguous:
    14.00.11 BBOO0222I: ADMS0207I: Node Synchronization state for
       node:<node> -
    initiate time: 2009.04.29 at 02:00:05:768 CEST result:
       In Progress
    Update occurred

    14.00.41 BBOO0222I: ADMS0207I: Node Synchronization state for
       node:<node> -
    initiate time: 2009.04.29 at 02:00:05:768 CEST

    complete time: 2009.04.29 at 02:00:27:842 CEST result:
    Complete
    Update occurred

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been modified to examine the custom property
    com.ibm.ws.management.sync.DateFormat.  If the property is
    present, and has the value "12hr" (case insensitive) then a
    12 hour clock format with the AM/PM designation will be used.
    If the property is present, and has the value "24hr"
    (case insensitive) then a 24 hour clock format will be used.
    If the property is absent, or has any other value, a 12 hour
    clock format will be used (the existing behavior.)

    APAR PK97883 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
    Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.7 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
