Error description

  • PMI is looking for AsynchBeansService to be started and
    available in the Control Region.

    PMI is having dependency of asynchbeans service running in
    Control Region. Control Region is not intended to run
    applications, so there is no reason for the asynchbeans service
    to be started and available here. PMI should be tolerant to
    to the fact that the asynchbeans service is not available in the
    control region.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: PMI Request Metrics is looking for *
    * AsynchBeansService to be started and *
    * available in the Controller Region *
    *                                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    PMI RequestMetrics is having dependency of asynchbeans service
    running in Controller Region for instrumentation. Control
    Region of proxy server is not intended to run applications,
    so there is no reason for the asynchbean service to be started
    and available here.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been changed in a way that PMI
    is tolerant to the fact that the asynchbeans service is not
    available in the control region and it will not throw any
    error if it is not available.

    APAR PK82684 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
    Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.3 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
