    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If Performance Monitoring               *
    *                      Infrastructure (PMI) is enabled for     *
    *                      a proxy server, clicking on             *
    *                      Tivoli Performance Viewer -->           *
    *                      Current Activity --> proxyxxx           *
    *                      results in the error message            *
    *                      "Server proxyxxx on node nnnn           *
    *                      cannot be monitored because the         *
    *                      Performance Monitoring Service (PMI)    *
    *                      is not enabled."                        *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    The Java Management Extensions (JMX) management beans (MBeans)
    for the Performance Monitoring Infrastructure was not registered
    in the control region of the proxy server.  Thus the Tivoli
    Performance Viewer could not function.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been modified to register the PMI MBeans in the
    proxy server control region.
    
    APAR PK75945 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
    Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.1 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0
    for z/OS.
