Error description

• This phenomenon occurs with the following steps.
  News and Shops is the name of the sample menu components.
  
  1.Prepare News menu component listing contents in a sitearea
  News.
  2.Prepare Shops menu component listing contents in a sitearea
  Shops.
  3.Show the News menu component like
  
  http://hostname:10040/wps/wcm/myconnect/TestLib01/SiteTop/News/
  4.Show the Shops menu component like
  
  http://hostname:10040/wps/wcm/myconnect/TestLib01/SiteTop/Shops/
  5.login as administrator
  6.Show Content management page
  7.Select News Site Area
  8.Move one contents from News to Shop.
  9.Run another Web browser
  10.Show the News menu component like
  
  http://hostname:10040/wps/wcm/myconnect/TestLib01/SiteTop/News/
  11.Show the Shops menu component like
  
  http://hostname:10040/wps/wcm/myconnect/TestLib01/SiteTop/Shops/
  
  The menu components does not show the updated lists.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Menu Cache not invalidated after moving content or site areas
  When a customer has a menu that is based on a Site Area if
  either content or another site area is moved into or out of the
  site area the menu's cache is not invalidated
  Affected Users:  ALL
  

Problem conclusion

• In this case the code was using the id of the content or site
  area moved rather than the content or siteArea's parent thus the
  menu cache was not properly cleared and incorrect data was
  rendered.
  .
  Updated WCM code setting the siteArea variable to the parents id
  rather that the ID or the content or site Area that has been
  moved.
