    not migrated

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Users Affected: All Java edition LWWCM users

Problem Description: Hardcoded links where the WCM path is in a
    request parameter are not migrated

Problem conclusion

  • Migration recognizes anchor tags, extracts the path and tests
the path against the list of migrated items to determine if the
link points to WCM data, and whether the path has been altered.
This logic ignores all request parameters, so if a link uses the
request parameter WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT to indicate the WCM path
then this link is not recognized. If the path is changed by
migration the link will be broken.

A regular expression capability was introduced to migration to
support a wider variety of link styles. When the regular
expression matches on a link, a capturing group captures the WCM
path that needs to be updated.

The regular expression is configured in migration.properties:

    link.identifier.regex=(["'])(?:http://www\\.mydomain\\.com/wps/p
    ortal)?/[^"']*?[\\&\\?]WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=(?:/wps/wcm/connect)?(
    [^"']+?)(?:\\&[^"']+?)?\\1

This regular expression will match links of the form:

    http://www.mydomain.com/wps/portal?WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=/wcm/path

It will ignore other request parameters. Most scenarios will
require only that the target domain is substituted in the
link.identifier.regex property. If the regex is altered in any
significant fashion, the WCM path must be captured by capturing
    group 2.

If this property is not set then the extended functionality is
not enabled, and all request parameters in links are ignored.

    Usage:

After configuring migratio.properties, the transform-data step
and all subsequent migration steps will need to be restarted.
