Problem
This technote explains how to resolve an issue in IBM Rational Team Concert, where undoing unresolved changes from the Pending Changes View does not work.
Symptom
You made changes to one or more source files that you want to undo. You right-click the source files and select Undo. A dialog opens, asking you if you want to undo the changes. You select Yes. The dialog closes, but your changes are not undone.
Cause
This problem occurs if the user tries undo on a file for which the case of the path returned by Microsoft Windows does not match the case of the path for the sandbox that contains the file.
This can happen in two cases: one, if the user loads a Jazz component into a sandbox where the path specified does not match the case in Windows; for example, if the user loads the component into a folder "C:\Temp" but specifies "c:\temp" as the sandbox path. Two, it can also occur when the user has created a solution specifying "c:\temp" instead of "C:\Temp" as the path for the solution, and has shared the solution using Jazz.
Resolving The Problem
To fix this problem, restart Microsoft Visual Studio. When you restart, instead of loading you solution from the most-recently-used list maintained in the Start Page, browse to your solution file using the File > Open > Project/Solution option from within Visual Studio. Otherwise, open the solution by double-clicking your solution file, from Microsoft Windows Explorer.
To prevent the problem in the first place, use the Browse button when creating the solution or loading the workspace on disk (or type in manually with the case as shown in Windows Explorer). Always open the solution with a path that matches the case as shown in Windows Explorer.
