This APAR describes the issues that customers encountered with IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances Version 3.8.1. These issues were resolved as information center updates in November 2010.

Note: We update our information centers with each fix pack. The following Version 3.8.1 modifications will be in the November 2010 update to the Information Centers. To access the latest online documentation, go to the product library page at http://www.ibm.com/software/integration/datapower/library/ and select Product Documentation. From this page, select the version and product that is appropriate for you WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances environment. The following Version 3.8.1 issues will be addresseed: ID: 29492 Problem: The information about configuration checkpoint files does not state that an upgrade removes these files. Resolution: Updated the documentation to state that an upgrade deletes these files. This problem affects all previously published versions. ------------------ ID: 29500 Problem: The information about Coded Character Set Identifier (CCSI) that the remote MQ queue manager converts output data is vague. Resolution: Updated the documentation to include a pointer to the http://www.ibm.com/software/globalization/ccsid/ccsid_registered .jsp web site. This problem affects all previously published versions that support this feature. ------------------ ID: 29504 Problem: In information about the "current" value of the Browse query parameter of the MQ url-open extension element used the word "last". This word could be confused with the terminal message in queue. Resolution: Updated the documentation of this value to state that the "current" value is the message the the url-open just read. This problem affects all previously published versions that support this feature. ------------------ Additional changes will be made to the Version 3.8.1 Information Center for the November 2010 update.
