APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Saving configuration changes while the box is under a high load
which includes high memory utilization may cause corruption or a
    partial save to the configuration.

Local fix

  • DataPower configuration changes are best saved when the device
is not under high load and memory utilization. Make sure to
save important changes before doing load tests or deployment has
    been completed.

Problem summary

  • Unexpected reboots from Out of Memory events can cause
incomplete updates of the configuration if the configuration is
being saved at the time of the reboot.

Problem conclusion

  • The saving of the configuration has been rewritten to ensure
that the configuration can not be lost. At worst, the
configuration will be as it was before the save.

Temporary fix

  • N/A
