APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In Release 3.8.1.0, on XI50B Blade platform only, the date of
    battery
    installation cannot be read.  The "show battery" CLI command in
    config mode
    does not return the correct result.  The (deprecated)
    EnvironmentalSensors
    status provider does not return the correct result for battery
    install date.
    One way to read the EnvironmentalSensors status provider is
    through SNMP, and
    the SNMP MIB object
    dpStatusEnvironmentalSensorsbatteryinstalldate does not
    return the correct result.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Corrected the inability to read the battery installation date on
    a XI50B Blade platform in 3.8.1.0.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This is fixed in the 3.8.1.1 fixpack.
