Software Requirements

Application Servers WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment 7.0 and future fix packs (overview) (support)

Requires Fixpack 17 (included with WebSphere Business Compass 7.0.0.4 full installer).  Upgrade installs require users to apply Fixpack 17 before beginning the Compass 7.0.0.4 upgrade.
32-bit WebSphere Application Server is required when using 32-bit and 64-bit tolerate Compass.
64-bit WebSphere Application Server is required when using 64-bit Compass.
Databases DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX and Windows 9.1.0.5 and future fix packs See Note #2
DB2 Enterprise Server Edition 9.5 and future fix packs (overview) (support)

Fixpack 1 or higher is required for most operating systems. Installed by WebSphere Business Compass Basic install for most operating systems.
Fixpack 5 or higher is required if using Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.  This has to be installed via the Compass advanced install path.
Fixpack 7 or higher is required if using RHEL 6 (64-bit). This is included with Compass 7.0.0.4 full install.
Not supported on 32-bit Linux.
One of the supported databases is required. Can be installed remotely if using WebSphere Business Compass on an operating system that is not supported by this database.

DB2 Enterprise Server Edition 9.7 and future fix packs (overview) (support)

Not supported on 32-bit Linux.
Fixpack 4 is required when running on RHEL6 (64-bit).
One of the supported databases is required. Can be installed remotely if using WebSphere Business Compass on a platform that is not supported by this database.
