  The issue is due to external processes that are temporarily
  locking the temporary files.

Problem summary

• Users Affected:
  WebSphere Transformation Extender users of the FTP adapter who
  are running on a system that may attempt to lock temporary files
  that appear in the temporary directory
  
  Problem Description:
  
  The customer is experiencing random problems with WTX FTP
  adapter temporary files in the default tmp directory. The files
  are not always deleted.
  
  Platforms Affected:
  All
  

Problem conclusion

• The temporary file is now successfully deleted after performing
  several retry operations.  The delete retry operations are
  required since the customer's system has external processes that
   are temporarily locking the temporary files.
