  • A WTX MS SQL Adapter crash occurs when executing an SQL
statement greater than 4 KB in length.
An error similar to the following may be seen.
The instruction at "0x6299d8f2" referenced memory at
"0x27202c43". The memory could not be "read".

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
WebSphere Transformation Extender database adapter customers
using very long SQL statements

Problem Description:
Memory buffer overrun when SQL statement is greater than 4K.

Platforms Affected:
All

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed buffer overrun when SQL statement is greater than 4K.  The
trace output is truncated to 2000 bytes when using debug logging

Delivered in:
8.3.0.5, 8.4.0.2
