  adapter with the SMTP protocol (-PROTO INET option).

Problem summary

• Users Affected:
  WebSphere Transformation Extender customers affected are those
  using the SMTP Adapter and encounter a failure to send an email
  message.
  
  Problem Description:
  The E-mail adapter would corrupt memory upon a failure to send a
  message.
  
  Platforms Affected:
  All
  

Problem conclusion

• Whenever a failure to send an email is encountered by the SMTP
  adapter, the proper cleanup processing is done.  Prior to this
  fix, a memory access violation or memory corruption was likely
  to occur.
