Error description

  • This issue can be seen when using a WebSphere Transformation
Extender map for converting data from one data language to
another, and that map is running under WebSphere Message Broker.

When the message domain on the output card is set to XMLNSC, the
data between the tags can be in the wrong encoding.

The tags themselves seem to be unaffected.

When the message domain for the output card is set to BLOB it
works fine.

Message Broker plug in on z/OS and XMLNSC domain

Problem Description:
Encoding errors in xml-elements with value after WTX-conversion
on z/OS. Data would be in EBCDIC some element names proceeding
data would be in UTF-8.

Platforms Affected:
z/USS(32bits)

Problem conclusion

  • Correct WTX z/OS XML output using XMLNSC node. Now data is
properly produced in specified encoding.

Delivered in:
8.3.0.5, 8.4.0.1
