Problem summary
Users Affected: WebSphere Transformation Extender customers using Oracle AQ connecting to an Oracle 11g Server. Problem Description: The Oracle Client driver is reporting a login failure to the WTX Oracle AQ Adapter. Platforms Affected: ALL
Problem conclusion
The WTX AQ Adapter now retains user name and password case sensitivity when logging into the Oracle Server. Before this fix, the Adapter would always change the user name and password to uppercase. In order to work around this problem before getting the fix, the customer needs to ensure that the following system command is issued: alter system set sec_case_sensitive_logon = false; The current setting can be viewed by using the following command: show parameter sec_case_sensitive_logon; After this fix, the above system commands will not need to be used.
