Problem summary

WebSphere Transformation Extender customers using classic trees
created with classic XML importer

Problem Description:
When creating XML data using classic core engine processor
invalid XML structures are created. This would tend to occur
with empty optional fields.  These fields should not appear, and
parts of them would appear creating invalid XML data.

Platforms Affected:
All

Problem conclusion

  • Correctly set the length of tags for empty optional fields so
that they are correctly backed out when it is determined that
they are empty.
