Error description

  • Output can be truncated by one character when a map is executed
on a Unix platform.

Issue can be seen when the output typetree is UTF8, the rule
used is a CTEXT() or CPACKAGE() and the second arguement is
UTF8.

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
WebSphere Transformation Extender customers getting truncated
data at the output

Problem Description:
Engine internal function calculates wrong size of the output
type if the type has a terminator resulting with truncated data.

Platforms Affected:
ALL

Problem conclusion

  • Correct core engine code that builds output objects to correctly
calculates the size of types

Delivered in:
8.2.0.6, 8.3.0.5
