PM47576: RESOURCE REGISTRY IS RESET WHEN USING WTX MAP NODE AND WTX JAVA API WITHIN THE SAME MESSAGE BROKER EXECUTION GROUP

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Resource Registry information that is defined in the Message
  Broker Execution Group for the WTX Map node is reset when
  calling the WTX Java API initializeAPI() function within the
  same Message Broker Execution Group. The map called by the WTX
  Map node will then fail to resolve any Resource Registry aliases
  that are used by the map.
  

Local fix

  Circumvention: Either define the WTX Java API initializeAPI()
  function to include a reference to the same Resource Registry
  configuration file as defined by the mqsichangeproperties
  command.  Or use one Message Broker Execution Group for message
  flows that use the WTX Map node and another different Message
  Broker Execution Group for message flows that use the WTX Java
  API.
  

Problem summary

• Users Affected:
  WebSphere Transformation Extender customers initializing WTX API
  with different values for the resource registry
  
  Problem Description:
  Resource registry information is lost when WTX API is
  initialized second time from the node using JAVA API. WTX
  initialize API that does not define resource registry files
  causes existing resource registry table to be destroyed.
  
  Platforms Affected:
  ALL
  

Problem conclusion

• The code is fixed to allow multiple calls to initialize API. If
  the resource table is loaded on the first call and second call
  is made without specifying resource registry file, second call
  will be ignored.
