Error description

  • When using the -CSTMT n statement on a DB transaction on the
z/OS platform, after the map has finished, you may find the
following error in the SYSPRINT queue:

 Error in: CLOSE

 MESSAGE :
0 DSNT408I SQLCODE = -501, ERROR:  THE CURSOR IDENTIFIED IN A
FETCH OR CLOSE STATEMENT IS NOT OPEN

 LCODE = -501, ERROR:  THE CURSOR IDENTIFIED IN A FETCH OR CLOSE
STATEMENT IS NOT OPEN

This ONLY occurs after the DBRM and the package are re-bound
with the KEEPDYNAMIC(YES) specified on both.

(Without the re-bind, a -514 would be encountered after 'n'
rows)

Problem Description:
The example DTXBIND does not include KEEPDYNAMIC(YES) keyword.
The adapter fails with the error that follows:
DSNT408I SQLCODE = -518

Platforms Affected:
 OS_Batch(32 BITS)
