occurs when processing incoming data that runs a specific map.

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
WebSphere Transformation Extender customers using a type tree
where the root, being a category, has both item and group
properties

Problem Description:
In the customer tree, the root, being a category, has both item
and group properties, but the item properties are in memory that
apparently belongs to a different item type.
When the map is compiled and deployed to AIX, it causes a core
dump

Platforms Affected:
Windows

Problem conclusion

  • Fix the map compiler code to properly build the map.  After this
fix is applied, the map has to be recompiled.
