PM36157: LAUNCHER CRASH DURING SHUTDOWN IN MPISEMDESTROY () AT MPI_SEM.CPP:87

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Launcher crash on shutdown.  Crash shows the current thread as
  #0 0xc000000013a8d490:0 in mpiSemDestroy () at mpi_sem.cpp:87
  
  This issue can only be replicated when using multiple adapters.

Problem summary

  adapters
  
  Problem Description:
  A system running WTX email and http adapters at the same time
  may crash in the http adapter module with the following stack
  trace:
  
  Signal 11 (SIGSEGV) delivered

  StandardTerm + 0x30 at adptglue.c:641
  SSDestroyLibrary + 0x20 at adptglue.c:707

  _AdapterDestroy + 0x1c0 at rmadpt.c:650
  
  The similar crash in mpiSemDestroy is possible if only email
  adapter is used.
  The crash happens during launcher shutdown procedure.

Problem conclusion

• The problem is caused by an attempt to destroy a mutex that was
  not initialized. The code has been fixed.
