Error description

• Unable to import a WSDL document that includes any restriction
  lists that contains XML substitute strings.
  
  For example:
  
    <s:restriction base="s:string">
      <s:enumeration value="EQ" />
      <s:enumeration value="NE" />
      <s:enumeration value="GT" />
      <s:enumeration value="LT" />
      <s:enumeration value="GE" />
      <s:enumeration value="LE" />
      <s:enumeration value="LK" />
      <s:enumeration value="=" />
      <s:enumeration value="!=" />
      <s:enumeration value="&gt;" />
      <s:enumeration value="&lt;" />
      <s:enumeration value="=&gt;" />
    </s:restriction>
  
  The WSDL import error message is: 'Error finding WSDL
  operations'
  
  Pressing the detail button will display an error message similar
  to the following:
  
  'Error parsing WSDL file and finding a list of operations - The
  value of attribute "value" associated with an element type
  "s:enumeration" must not contain the "<" character'

  Circumvention: Remove the restriction list from the WSDL to
  allow import.
  

Problem summary

• Users Affected:
  Any WebSphere Transformation Extender WSDL Importer users that
  import WSDL files which contain references to XML types that
  have XML substitution strings.
  
  Problem Description:
  The WSDL Importer is unable to import types that reference
  restriction lists with XML substitute strings.
  
  Platforms Affected:
  Windows
  

Problem conclusion

• The WSDL Importer properly imports XML enumerated values that
  reference XML substitution sequences, particularly the XML
  substitution sequences for the '<' and '>' characters.  Before
  this fix, the WSDL importer would fail the import of a WSDL file
  which referenced an XML enumerated value like this:
  <s:enumeration value="&gt;" />.
