Error description

  • If TRIMRIGHT and TRIMLEFT functions are used with the IBM-1390
codepage string, they will return incorrect results. The
result string is not trimmed correctly.

If one were to use SJIS data, these functions work correctly.

Problem Description:
TRIMRIGHT and TRIMLEFT functions do not work correctly with
IBM-1390 data

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been modified so modal character sets work properly
with the trim functions.
